Hi

Thank you for visiting my website.
As a teacher I am passionate about improving children’s literacy and encouraging them to read more. I am also aware of the important part parents play in the early development of children’s literacy. I hope ,over time, to produce many children’s books and some informative articles for parents based on my experience. I am also passionate about animals and their welfare. My first book Tom from Tin Alley combines both of these passions.

Tom From Tin Alley by Sue Olarenshaw Illustrated by Jupiters Muse

This is an amusing story about Tom, a very resourceful cat, who was dumped in an alley and  many of the funny situations he gets into in order to survive. The full-page colour illustrations and rhyming text make the story fun for children to read or be read to. Every page also has an interesting cat fact. At the end of the story there are a number of suggestions and talking points made and  children are encouraged to email or write to Tom.
